One easy way to look great, live well, and do good is to host or particpate in a clothing swap. Clothing swaps are becoming more common so simply do an internet search for clothing swaps happening where you live. Most clothing swaps do include a section dedicated to menswear. You can also find focused clothing swaps, such as for skiing, for children, and for menswear.

Benefits of Clothing Swaps
Clothings swaps have multiple benefits. First, you can find great style at a low price...free! Clothing swaps are also part of a circular economy and help reduce waste. According to a March 2024 article in GQ, the apparel industry produces approximately 100 billion garments every year, and 92 million tons of that clothing ending up in landfills (Teasdale, 2024). The good news: the GQ article also noted figures from a 2021 Journal of Business Ethics report that 70% of consumers want to be more responsible apparel consumers. The GQ article also shared that the global sustainable fashion market was valued at around £6.2 billion in 2023 and is expected to grow to £26 billion by 2030. The apparel industry still faces many human rights challenges as well, especially for women. Remake, a leading nonprofit in addressing issues in fashion, spotlighted that women make up 80% of the apparel industry workfoce but face unequal pay, sexual harrassment, and other forms of exploitation.
