It goes without saying that if you take care of your things, they will last longer. Whether its proper care of your shoes and clothing, your home, or your car, you can extend the life of all the things you've come to love by simply taking care of it.
Of course it starts with buying better quality, durable items (see Habitude 004). But once that precious item is part of your world, it's important to take good care of it. Mend and alter clothing, repair shoes, fix or update home furnishings, and get your auto tuned regularly, whether it's a state-of-the art electric care or a vintage Ford truck.
An additional value to maintaining your goods is that it supports local artisans that specialize in keeping high quality items in the best shape they can be in.
